**Happy Birthday Andy**
My girls
For the longest time I’ve loved Alanis Morissette’s songs. Then Ani DiFranco came along and I loved her songs too. Recently Tori Amos joined the group. I wonder who the next girl is gonna be. I am thinking Fiona Apple, but I am not sure. She is an angry girl, and I love angry girls… so it’s a possibility. I’ve gotta download some of her stuff.
Its like Virginia Woolfe and Sylvia Plath.
My girls.
Some of my girlfriends are “my girls” too. Kids from PACA (who still go to PACA) like Susan and Joyce, kids from PACA that graduated with me (Kristen and Rachel, Alessandra and Julia, Audrey and Christina).
Wow – what a pointless post.
Ps. Andy is a boy. He is my boy. Not my girl.
Cartoons
I used to love them when I was younger.
I remember watching “O Fantastico Mundo de Bob” (I don’t know what it’s called in English) There was a little boy, Bob, and he had a really big head and a tiny body, and his last name was Generic, and people usually mispronounced it. And he had a crazy older brother, and a crazy older sister too. And his mom was fun, and she got pregnant, I think, and I think she had twins. And his dad was cool too, and by the end of each episode, a real man (his dad) would talk to him, I don’t know why though… And he liked this superman dude, and he had a friend, Jesse, and she would kiss him and he hated it! Lol it was fun.
I also liked Rugrats and Rocco’s Modern life (but I was a bit older when I watched these)
Hmmm what else?
I wasn’t too crazy about Tom and Jerry or Popeye.
The Jetsons!! They were cool!!! And I liked the Flinstones too (not as much as the Jetsons though…)
Cow and Chicken, Dexter’s Laboratory, AH! Monsters, Doung, Hey Arnold, Tiny Toons, Pinky and Brain, Animaniacs… They were all soooo cool!
My sister loved watching cartoons with me. I don’t know why. She was/is much older, but she still likes it. She likes all the things cartoons do, and all the faces they can make. Watching her watch cartoons is whats really fun though…
The new cartoons aren’t as cool as kids nowadays think they are… Even the Powerpuff Girls aren’t that great…
Oh!! Space Jam was awesome!! Put you hands up in the air if you feel alright… blablabla welcome to the space jam space jam!
But oh… the Animaniacs!
My first period
God only knows how much I prayed for it to come.
Then only fine Sunday morning I had breakfast with my parents and then I went to the bathroom. I saw this think and I know what I was happening but I wasn’t sure. I went to the kitchen, really scared and unsure about what to say to my mom, and I just said “mom come here.” And she knew. She said “did you get your period?” And I nodded.
We went to the bathroom and she gave the shpill about how to use a pad (not very complicated….).
Now for some unknown reason I just couldn’t stop crying. I knew what was going on, I know it was gonna come, I wanted it to come – but I was so scared! (I was 11) Now that I think about I came up with a bunch of BS regarding all my crying.
As a child, I was saying goodbye to my childhood – obviously. But as a woman I was crying because of all the troubles that were gonna come with womanhood. It was something I had no control over and that was scary. On that morning I didn’t know why I so sad and scared, the little Mackenzie didn’t know. But the grown up Mackenzie waiting to come forth new and she was making her appearance through tears and blood.
Lol
I don’t have an embarrassing story about my dad giving me flowers and saying “you are a woman now” because I begged my mom not to tell my dad, and I think she didn’t.
Explanation
As I mentioned a while ago, it would be cool if I could write an “encyclopedia according to me” so that people can look up words and find out what I have to say about it!! Lol I am so full of myself… This is why I am writing about “little things” like cartoons and my first period.
